Original Item: One-of-a-kind. Just purchased from a Pacific War collector at a military show! Here we have a wonderful piece of Japanese WWII "Trench Art", in the form of what we believe is a headband, or possibly just a good luck charm to be folded up and put in a pocket. It measures 28" x 8", and has 6 large Japanese characters drawn on it, surrounding a small square "Mt. Fuji" landscape drawing, as would be seen from Tokyo Bay. Around this is additional small writing, and there is also a cap badge attached in the upper left corner of the drawing.
Very decorative and definitely one of a kind, this would make an excellent translation project!
