Sweet Chestnut Bouche de Bétizac
An early to mid-season French chestnut widely grown in north-west France, Sweet Chestnut Bouche de Bétizac is well adapted to the moist Irish climate. Vigorous, hybrid variety, giving good crops of medium-sized nuts. Fruits at 5-6 years-old. Very disease-resistant. Needs a pollination partner, unless you have a European sweet chestnut nearby. Do not plant in a frost pocket.
